BREAKING NEWS: Police find body in hunt for schoolgirl, 13, missing for four days after arguing with mother and stepfather
Amber Peat (left), 13, left her home in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, with no cash and no mobile phone on Saturday evening - and had not been seen after storming out of the property. Police said shortly after 9pm tonight that her family had been informed about the discovery of a body, but no formal identification has yet taken place. Officers also thanked the local community for their help in the search to find Amber. Earlier, the schoolgirl's mother Kelly (top right, with the girl's stepfather Danny) made an emotional appeal for her to 'come home', describing how she disappeared a day after the family returned from holiday in Cornwall. Around 300 local residents joined the search for Amber. Searchers - most of whom did not know the teenager or her family - had been knocking on doors in the area and looking in gardens and sheds, as well as hunting through woodland (bottom right).
