Real Madrid qualifies for Semi finals ; Beats Atletico Marid 1 - 0.

Real celebrates victory.

Spanish giants, Real Madrid FC have qualified for the semi-final round of the UEFA Champions League (UCL), after securing a 1-0 victory over city rival Atlético Madrid on Wednesday.

Javier Hernández right-footed a shot from the centre of the box to secure the victory for The Whites, following an assist by Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Real Madrid forward scored in the 88 minute of the second leg at the Santiago Bernabéu, after a goalless draw at Atlético Madrid’s Vicente Calderón Stadium.
Hernández had earlier fired shots from the right side of the box in the 11th and 12th minutes of the game, but missed to the right.
Ronaldo also lost an attempt in the 13th minute, after a left footed shot from outside the box.
Tiago Mendes’ (Atlético Madrid) header from the centre of the box in the 61st minute was also blocked, as several fouls were committed by both teams.
Italian side Juventus, also held Monaco to a goalless draw at the French side’s Stade Louis II, which  helped Juventus qualify for the semi-final round of the League.
The quest for the champion continues as both teams would be paired alongside Barcelona and Bayern Munich who won 2-0, 6-1 respectively on Tuesday to qualify for the semi-final round of the UCL.
