Mr. Olanusi , the Deputy Governor of Ondo was impeached on monday the the 27th of April given his defection to the APC and wranglings between Him and his boss.
However, he has approached the Federal High Court in Akure the state capital in an attempt o upturn as well as fault the process that led o his impeachment.
In a motion exparte filled by his lawyer, Olukoya Ogungbeje, before the judge, Justice Ishaq Sani, Mr Olanusi urged the court to rule that the committee, who sat and recommended his impeachment, was a kangaroo committee.
While referring to the case of Alhaji Danladi against Taraba State House of Assembly, the lawyer noted that the committee had 30 days to sit but chose to sit within three days.
In its ruling, however, the court refused to grant the request to stop the impeachment.
Justice Sani ordered the former Deputy Governor to put the House of Assembly on notice so that all parties would appear in court at the next adjourned date of May 7.
